I’ve always had a fit lifestyle! Ever since I was young my parents had me involved in sports. I started karate at 8. I never had a TV, so we mostly played outdoors. Physical activity has always been a part of my life. My parents always cooked healthy, clean meals, so that is what I learned to love. I think that contributed to the healthy way I eat today. If I do have my cheat meals I feel horrible.

I did my first show when I was trying to figure out what to do with the fitness passion. I knew how to eat well in general but didn’t understand how to modify protein, carbs, etc to meet specific goals. So I set some goals and started researching my diet. I do work long hours, which can make training tricky- but I find the time. I have a consistent schedule Mon – Fri, so that helps, but since I see patients all day, all my extra duties have to be completed after work. I always prepare my meals on Sunday so I don’t have to worry about it the rest of the week, which saves time. I also squeeze my meal in between patients, leaving lunch time free for a workout. I do fasted cardio in the morning before work and another session of cardio and weights after work. Closer to the show time I will pose after my workouts for about 30 minutes. My first show was the hardest for me because I had to break old habits and separate myself from the less disciplined lifestyle I was used to.

What motivates me is my family, friends, boyfriend, and fans who support me. I am encouraged when I get messages from people telling me how much I’ve changed their lives, or that they lost weight. With my help feels good when people say to me, “you’re my motivation,” when really, they are my motivation. I tell people all the time- don’t just train for a season or show, make it a lifestyle. I have had my ups and downs in fitness, I’ve done “yo-yo” dieting, and I feel I can relate to others. I don’t want people to ruin their metabolism to look a certain way. You can still be healthy and look amazing.  I am an outgoing bubbly person. I like to make others laugh and smile. I am full of energy and excited about all that I do. I am positive and love learning new things every day.

My next goal is to become a well-known international fitness model and reach as many people as possible. I have one year left until I separate the military. I will move to LA California where I will attend dental hygiene school, while still doing what I love helping people achieve their fitness goals. When I put my mind to something I love and I’m passionate about, I can do what I set out to do. I want to show others who work full time that it’s possible to still have a healthy, happy lifestyle. I think being in the military, working long hours, and still not making excuses really seems to motivate others all around the world.
